Following a traffic stop that resulted in a man’s death, five former police officers in Tennessee have been charged with second-degree murder.

Tyre Nichols, 29, was pulled over for dangerous driving on January 7 in Memphis. In three days, he passed away.

On Thursday, officials will provide an update, and a video of the arrest is anticipated to be made public later.

Prior to the release of the video, the city’s police head pleaded with the public to maintain their composure.
