Tottenham 1-0 Man City: Nedum Onuoha’s team lacked imagination

The loss at Tottenham Hotspur for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City team was unfortunate, but I don’t believe it necessitates a full overhaul of the reigning champions.

When your number nine, especially someone as lethal as Erling Haaland, does not have a shot at goal in the entire game, you have to wonder what went wrong. This was the main reason City lost.

Because Arsenal’s loss to Everton on Saturday was the first indication that the door in the title battle might be somewhat open, it must have been even more disappointing for them to lose in north London because City’s response resulted in them leaving empty-handed the day after.
