Several other A-list stars will perform as part of the pre-show before Rihanna’s highly anticipated halftime concert at the important athletic event.
The NFL said on Tuesday that “Lift Every Voice and Sing” will be performed during the pre-show by Emmy-winning actor Sheryl Lee Ralph. In 2022, the “Abbott Elementary” star made a memorable stage appearance to win her Emmy.
Chris Stapleton, a Grammy-winning country music singer who will perform the National Anthem, will participate in the pre-show activities with Ralph. Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, an R&B singer, will also appear, singing “America the Beautiful.”
According to a statement from the NFL, each performer will have talent with them to provide American Sign Language (ASL) on behalf of the National Association of the Deaf (NAD).
Troy Kotsur, an Oscar winner, will perform the national anthem with Stapleton. After Marlee Matlin, Kotsur became the second Deaf person to ever receive an acting Academy Award for his performance in “CODA” in 2022.
